PBIS

Illinois Service Resource Center provides support for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in educational programs serving students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. PBIS is a school-wide behavior management system designed to encourage essential social skills. The program teaches and reinforces positive behavior rather than punishing negative behavior.

Current programs receiving support include:

  • Centerview Therapeutic School
  • Charleston School District
  • Child's Voice School
  • Exceptional Children Have Opportunities (ECHO)
  • Illinois School for the Deaf
  • John Powers Center
  • Marion School for the Hearing Impaired
  • Southwest Cook County Cooperative Association for Special Education (SWCCCASE)
  • U-46 School District
