White Cane Day

Students in Illinois with visual impairments are invited to participate in local community service projects during the week of White Cane Day.

Once a local project has been identified, please send information about the selection to [email protected] for inclusion on the list of White Cane Day Community Service Projects. After the event photos can be sent as well. The list of projects and photos will be posted on the Illinois Service Resource Center website: www.isrc.us

The mission of White Cane Day is to educate the world about blindness and how the blind and visually impaired can live and work independently while giving back to their communities, to celebrate the abilities and successes achieved by blind people in a sighted world and to honor the many contributions being made by the blind and visually impaired.
